Bailey Nicole’s Story,

June 26, 2015, was a day that forever altered the course of our family's life. Just two days after celebrating Bailey's remarkable 4-month milestone, I discovered her unresponsive in her crib. In an overwhelming moment of panic, I urgently dialed 9-1-1. When the paramedics arrived, they fought valiantly to revive her with CPR, but tragically, our beloved baby girl had already left us for heaven. A subsequent autopsy revealed no underlying health issues—no signs of heart or lung disease—leading to a heartbreaking conclusion: Bailey's death was a tragic case of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

What Is SIDS?

SIDS refers to the unexplained death of a baby, typically under one year old, who appears healthy prior to the incident. This tragic event often occurs during sleep and is sometimes referred to as “crib death” because infants often die in their cribs. The exact cause of SIDS is unknown, but it may be linked to issues in the area of an infant’s brain that controls breathing and the ability to wake up from sleep.

Purpose Amidst Pain

Amid profound devastation and grief, I sought grace for the journey and hope for my broken heart. During this painful time, God gave me purpose, which led to the establishment of **Bailey's Dash Foundation**.

The "Dash" symbolizes the time we have in this world, representing the space between our birth and death dates.

Bailey's loss has left an indelible mark on our hearts, reminding us of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment. Through experiencing God's comfort and trusting in His plan during this challenging period of grief and loss, I have developed a sustaining faith in a Sovereign God who guides our steps and sets the boundaries in our lives.

Although Bailey was with us for only four short months, she left a lasting impact.

In her memory, Bailey’s Dash aims to honor her legacy. Our organization provides resources, counseling services, and financial assistance to families who suddenly face the same tragedy that our family experienced.

We are proud to offer "Grief, Grace & Hope" boxes to families seeking solace and strength in Jesus Christ during their time of grief. These thoughtfully curated boxes serve as meaningful reminders of hope and support, helping to bring comfort to those navigating their journey of loss.

Hope for the Heart.
