God Keep’s His promises

A few months ago, I heard this song by a quartet group that simply says, "God keeps His promises." I can't stop thinking about it. With many other ad-libs, the gist is that she was reminding us through song that whatever God promised through His word, He is faithful to fulfill. In scripture, there are two versions of the same promise.

'Not one of all the Lord ’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.' Joshua 21:45 NIV

'There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.' Joshua 21:45 KJV

The theme is clear: God didn't fail the children of Israel; "all came to pass". God will not fail you, either. It may be hard, and you may have more questions than you have answers, but rest in the promises of God. They are throughout the Old and New Testaments.

Through song and scripture, we can be reminded of a simple truth that can shift your perspective if you believe it.

No matter what you are facing, you can trust that God will keep His promise. Trust the Lord.
